The drive across the mountains
The route leaves Dubai on the Emirates Road and crosses the Hajar Mountains on the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Highway, with tunnels and wide views, before descending to the coast at Fujairah. The road is excellent, but the trip is long enough that a comfortable SUV or sedan matters.
